The DSIO, (DLSC Systems Integration Office), Columbus, OH has mission responsibilities for the design, programming, testing, installation and maintenance of the Standard Automated Material Management System (SAMMS) Legacy Data utilized by the Defense Logistics Agency to support the Decision Support Environment(DSE)for Data Warehouse. In this capacity, DSIO is responsible for all systems development life cycle activities, including requirements determination, systems design, application development, testing, deployment and maintenance for DSE. This mission support encompasses the acquisition, testing of vendor software, host operating system generation, DBMS support and distribution and installation of respective system support software releases. The Government needs assistance by a contractor with at least 3 years experience with Metadata projects to gain knowledge and expertise in the Metadata arena. The contractor must also have at least 1 year of specialized experience with the SAMMS system including the ability to read and analyze COBOL programs. The successful contractor must be able to perform the following: Assist Government personnel in the Capture of data from SAMMS documentation, use general help files to identify key pieces of data, be able to populate Metadata repository with gathered information. Place Metadata in other types of media, create and test data rules and procedures, perform Data analysis,and mapping from application to application. Analyze data elements for commonalities/differences, use known and approved methodology to physically model a data warehouse using dimensional and relational modeling.
