Library of Congress, vmur@loc.gov. The Library of Congress intends to
negotiate on a sole source basis with IA Corporation, Emeryville, CA
for support services for one networked optical-disk-based imaging
system which supports the Copyright Office at the Library. The
contractor shall provide all services necessary to assist the Library
in providing corrective software maintenance for the Copyright Imaging
System (CIS), which will include telephone support and dial-up
coverage during 8 hours per day. The Copyright optical-disk-based
system supports scanning of the approximately 700,000 applications for
copyright claims registration that are received yearly by the
Copyright Office and provides for image storage and output in the form
of Certificates provided to applicants. Imaging workstations in
Copyright provide for searching, retrieving, viewing, and requesting
prints of the registration images. The system was custom-developed and
provided to the Library by IA Corporation under a prior contract. NO
