RFP# JC-RVI-9-04 for the operaton of the North Texas Job Corps Center located in Mckinney, Texas, will be available on the world Wide Web, Job Corps Acquisition home Page, on or about December 20, 1999 at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost-reimbursement plus fixed fee for a two year base period beginning August 1, 2000 through July 31, 2002, plus three governmental unilateral renewal options of one year each. The approximate average capacity strength is 650 residential students. The contractor will provide Outreach, Screening, and Placement for an estimated 950 students. A pre-proposal conference will be convened at 8:30 a.m. on January 6, 2000 at the North Texas Job Corps Center, 1701 N. Church Street, McKinney, Texas 75069. There will be a tour of the facility following the pre-proposal conference. Upon entering the facility, participants must report and register at the Administration building with the receptionist. We recommend that you download the RFP prior to attending the pre-proposal conference. The government desires to have an experienced contractor train and oversee, for a period of two years, a Protege subcontractor who will be selected by the Primary contractor and will be identified in the Contractor's proposal to operate this center. Firms eligible to be considered as a protege subcontractor are small business, small disadvantaged business, and small women owned businesses. Proposals in response to this RFP will consist of Oral Presentations and written submissions as described in Section L of the RFP. Written protions of the proposal are due by 1:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, March 8, 2000 to the Dallas Regional Ofice.
