sought to provide personnel to perform food service duties (sanitation
or waiter) at the Cadet Dining Facility at the United States Air Force
Academy. BASIC SERVICES : The contractor shall be responsible to
provide personnel, equipment and uniforms to perform food service
duties. Personnel will report ready to work, i.e. in uniform and
wearing the proper protective clothing. REQUIREMENTS: 1) Sanitation:
Operates and cleans equipment and work area. Washes dishes, pots, pans,
coffee urns, glasses and flatware. Operates a mechanical dishwasher.
Unloads, cleans and sanitizes food carts, utility carts, dish
dispensers and racks. Performs heavy duty cleaning tasks throughout
work areas including walls and light fixtures. Sweeps, mops, and waxes
floors. Disposes of food waste and trash. Moves heavy garbage cans.
Complies with rules, regulations and procedures to maintain a safe
clean work environment. Uses and assures proper fit of required safety
equipment and clothing (i.e. safety shoes, ear plugs, gloves, etc.)
Ensures established safety rules are followed in taking proper
procedures for lifting items exceeding 50 lbs. Uses and maintains
waiter and sanitation equipment. Required to hose down with sanitation
solutions both loading docks. Will be required to remove snow from
stairwells and entranceways when required. 2) Waiter: Performs duty of
Multi-Skilled Food Service Worker. On assigned shift, provides service
in an environment requiring special procedures and rigid standards of
efficiency, propriety, etiquette, and time to be closely followed. Also
provides family style service. Determines and sets the proper dishes,
glasses, flatware needed for a particular meal by closely reading the
menu each day. Places ice water, milk, bread, crackers and condiments
(sugar, salt, pepper, etc.) on the table for each meal. After placing
food at designated places and ensuring that the right meal has been
included, closely monitors assigned tables to provide service as needed
(i.e. refilling serving dishes, bringing seconds on request, and
performing emergency cleaning service, etc.) Promptly answers questions
on unusual food served. Serves and monitors the feeding operation of
serving lines closely to determine if services are being properly met.
Assembles equipment, serving dishes, utensils, and napkins to ensure
all items are available or as necessary, taken to and from building for
special functions. Follows established procedures in operating
equipment used in the waiter and sanitation section meeting the health,
safety and sanitation standards. Supports special event dinner
including special buffets and decorations in accordance to a written
plan. Supports special meal programs, providing V.I.P. service for
distinguished guests and visitors. Supports dining ins, Staff Tower
duties, off-site V.I.P. service, special breakfast, lunch and dinner
programs offered in the formal dining room. May be required to work
weekend and uncommon tours of duty when needed. DATES AND TIMES: Will

Fairchild Drive, US Air Force Academy. DRESS AND APPEARANCE:
Requirements are pants and collared shirt which must be presentable,
i.e. no holes, profanity, etc. Steel-toed shoes are also required. If
the personnel does not have a neat or clean appearance or they do not
have the proper attire we reserve the right to refuse any personnel and
will release them from work. If the food service worker does not meet
the requirements of the position the supervisor or Flight Commander has
the right to release the individual. The supervisor or the Flight
Commander can request the return of an individual or request that an
individual not be sent out again. This synopsis is for information and
