The threat from Weapons Mass Destruction (WMD) is real and evolving. Proliferation of weapons technology and dual use commercial applications increase the likelihood of the use of Biological, Chemical, and Radiological weapons on the battlefield and within domestic arenas. The potential number of casualties from WMD use poses a tremendous challenge to the medical community. WHO WILL ATTEND? MEDIC-WMD 2000 will provide a forum for federal, state and local decision-makers, as well as industry representatives, who are developing the medical response strategies.
