The U.S. Engineers, Japan District, is seeking potential sources capable of providing certified Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos and Lead Based Paint Initial and Recertification courses. This sources sought announcement is a request for Information Only, and your response is not an offer. This request for information neither commits the Government to pay any costs incurred in the preparation and submission to this sources sought request, nor does it obligate the Government to contract for services. The sources sought/market survey is published in order that potential sources may learn of future requirements. Contractor shall provide course instruction that will be in conformance with the following Regulatory Requirements: 40 CFR, Part 763, 40 CFR Part 745, and the Department of Defense Japan, Environmental Governing Standards (JEGS). All courses shall be conducted on-site in Japan. The Japan Engineer District will coordinate classroom facilities. The instructor(s) shall have the ability to communicate the technical subject matter in English and Japanese. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all training materials, supplies and equipment for instructional portion and hands-on portion of the courses. Written materials and audiovisuals shall be provided in English and Japanese.
