Y -- RELOCATION OF THE LOWER GALVESTON BAY RANGES SOL DTCG82-00-B-3WCA10 POC Michelle Nammur, (305) 278-6725 Furnish all labor, equipment and materials necessary to fabricate and install two single pile steel caisson structures and two multiple pile jacketed structures in Galveston Bay, Texas. The single pile caisson structures will support platform decks that are to be fabricated and installed by the contractor. These decks will be at elevations of approximately 35 feet above sea level. The multiple pile jacketed structures will support platform decks and steel skeleton towers that are to be fabricated and installed by the contractor. These decks will be at elevations of approximately 37 feet above sea level and the free-standing steel skeleton towers will be approximately 80 feet tall, founded on the decks. The work will also include installation and wiring of solar power lighting systems on three of the new structures and installation and wiring of submarine cable and commercial power system on the fourth new structure. The new structures must be precisely located to properly mark the new centerline extension of the Lower Galveston Bay Range; accurate surveying will be required. The work will also include the demolition and removal of three existing multiple pile wood light structures and one multiple pile reinforced concrete light structure, all located near the proposed positions of one of the four new structures. The estimated bid opening date is February 2000. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation. The estimate price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. There is a non-refundable charge of $30.00 for the bid package.
