Because the requirement is for a small number of towbars (8), it is permissable to machine some of the called out parts rather then having them cast. It is acceptable to machine P/N's 9170656, 9170422, 9170401, 9170402, 9170403, 9170404, 9170405. This permission only applies to these part numbers on this RFQ F41608-99-Q-20569! However, the materials used shall be of equal or better strength and all the requirements stated in the drawings and specs shall be complied with including finish and tolerances.
