an Industry Day Conference /invitation/ announcement prepared by the
Global Air Traffic Operations/Mobility Command and Control (GATO/MC2)
Systems Program Office (SPO) for the procurement of a Mobile Approach
Control System (MACS). The specific MACS' subsystems addressed by this
Industry Day are the Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR), the ASR shelter
and associated equipment, the Operations shelter and associated
equipment, and overall MACS system integration. This is an invitation
to participate in this conference and does not constitute either an
invitation for bid or a request for proposal. A draft request for
proposal is tentatively scheduled to be released on HERBB the first
quarter of calendar year 2000. The Industry Day Conference will be
conducted on Thursday, 16 December 1999 at Hanscom AFB MA, Building
1630, 2nd Floor, Room 217 Vantaa Conference Room at 9:00AM. The
Industry Day will be divided into two segments: the morning portion
will consist of an overview of the MACS program and requirements, and
all interested parties are encouraged to attend; the afternoon portion
will consist of face to face discussions on any MACS issues and will
be conducted only with interested prime contractors. Attendance at both
segments of Industry Day will be limited to three (3) attendees from
each prospective source. The following prime contractors have expressed
an interest to date in the MACS program. Any subcontractors interested
in participating may contact the following for additional information:

affiliation of the attendees (no more than three per organization).
Registration for the individual face-to-face discussions can also be
arranged at this time. Participation in the Industry Day conference is
voluntary. The information presented herein will not obligate the
Government in any manner. The Government will not reimburse the
attendees for any cost associated with participation and is under no
obligation to award any related contract associated with this event.
