five-year IDIQ contract to acquire new Mechanical Scanner assemblies,
MX-9872(V)1/AU; NSN: 5855-01-052-4956, MX-9872(V)2/UA; NSN:
5855-01-069-4014, MX-9872(V)3/UA; NSN: 5855-01-069-1341, in accordance
with Performance Specification MIL-PRF-49166C(CR) and the applicable
specification sheets, and, Mechanical Scanner Assemblies,
MX-10717(V)1/U; NSN: 5855-01-278-5198, MX-10717(V)2/U; NSN:
5855-01-248-4302 and MX-10717(V)3/U; NSN: 5855-01-248-4301, in
accordance with MIL-S-49301(CR) Addendum 1, and the applicable
specification sheets. The Mechanical Scanner is a tow-axis gimbal and
housing assembly used in infrared, night vision applications. Addendum
1 to MIL-S-49301(CR) requires a secret clearance. Under this contract,
the contractor shall also have the capability to re-configure existing
Mechanical Scanners, MX-9872(V)1, (V)2, (V)3, (V)4, (V)5, (V)6 or
MX-10717(V)1, (V)2, (V)3 to any of the following configurations:
MX-9872(V)1, (V)2, (V)3 or MX10717(V)1, (V)2, (V)3, as required by the
Government. The contractor shall have the option to replace screws and
small support items, as required, to perform the re-configuration. This
effort is a firm-fixed price Request for Proposal. First Article will
be required. This acquisition is set aside for small business and award
will be made to the best overall proposal which is determined to be the
most beneficial to the Government, with appropriate consideration given
to the following factors: Performance Risk, Technical, and Price.
Drawings and exceptions to drawings will be provided on request. (Only
written, e-mail or faxed requests for the drawings will be accepted.)
Delivery will be made to New Cumberland, PA. The US ARMY
COMMUNICATIONS-ELECTRONICS COMMAND (CECOM) ACQUISITION CENTER has

Request for Proposals (RFPs), Invitation for Bids (IFBs) and Request
