The National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) is engaged in evaluating treatment technologies, processes, and systems related to hazardous and toxic wastes, chemical and microbial contamination of various environmental matrices. This contract will include those evaluations that are primarily field studies, treatability studies and technical support. While many of the field studies will be performed under the Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) program, there will also evaluations under the following programs; Superfund, LUST, oil spills, brownfields, RCRA, TSCA, drinking water treatment, source water protection, wet weather flows. Some projects may include interagency participation. NRMRL also provides extensive technical support to USEPA Regional Offices, State regulatory agencies and others on an as needed basis. Contract support in these areas includes providing expertise in new and existing treatment technologies, processes and systems, and measurement and monitoring procedures. The contractor will also perform treatability studies to determine the applicability of technologies to specific sites. Up to four ID/IQ type contracts will be awarded. At least one award will be made to a qualified small business. The SIC is 8731, size standard-500 employees. The maximum quantity of each contract will be approximately $57 million.
