The Department of Justice, Facilities & Administrative Services Staff, has a requirement for on-call messenger services for time-sensitive deliveries within the Washington DC metropolitan area. The contract will be available for the use of any Department of Justice component and perhaps other Federal agencies. Prospective offerors must have, or be capable of establishing by the time performance is required to begin, a place of business from which performance will be managed that is within a 10 mile radius of the Main Justice Building located at 950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. This will be a total small business set-aside. The base period of performance will be from October 1, 2000 or the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, whichever is later, through September 30, 2001, and there will be government options to extend the period of performance up to a total of 60 months. The solicitation document will be available about January 5, 2000 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site at http://www.eps.gov (hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available).
