Construction of a new facility for the Missoula Technology and
Development Center on Forest Service Land just west of the Missoula
International Airport. A. The buildings consist of: 1) A two story
office structure of approximately 14,246 square feet on first floor,
13,808 square feet on second floor and a one-story attached wing of
7,706 square feet for "clean" lab for fire retardant. 2) An
approximately 7,706 square foot one-story textile shop with office and
storage. 3) An approximately 3,555 square foot one-story training
center for conferences and classes. 4) An approximately 17,899 square
foot one-story shop building for storage and fabrication of prototype
items. The buildings' construction systems include concrete
foundations, crawlspace, concrete slab on grade, steel studs, framework
and roof decks, asphalt shingles and EPDM membrane roofing, cast stone
and metal siding, cementitious and TJI floor systems, aluminum windows
systems, metal and wood doors, metal frame systems, drywall interior
partitions, fire protection systems, plumbing fixtures and piping,
electrical power and lighting systems, HVAC systems and any other
related items as shown in the drawings and specifications. B. The site
work consists of: 1) Changes to highway 10 for deceleration lanes and
approach entrance to property. 2) Underground drainage system for
roads, parking lots, building and site. 3) Front road and truck routes.
4) Asphaltic pavement for visitor and employees parking lot. 5) Paved
and gravel lots around shops. 6) Site work with landing, irrigation,
lighting, signage and sidewalks. C. Utilities work consists of: 1)
Connection to existing water and gas lines. 2) Connection to new MPC
transformer. 3) Connection to the city sewer by new gravity and force
sewer lines for the entire (MFTC) Missoula Fire Technology Center.
Plans and specs available on or about 29 December 1999 at no charge per
set. No individual sheets are available. Documents will be issued only
on a CD ROM on a first-come, first-served basis until supply is
exhausted. No phone requests accepted. Refer to IFB number
DACW67-00-B-0014 when ordering. Requests MUST BE IN WRITING and be
received before bid documents will be mailed. Requests may be made: (1)

confirmation copy of your request need not be mailed. Please be sure to
include if you are a Prime, Sub or Plans Room. Plans and Specs may be
picked up from the Plans Room Monday thru Friday between the hours of
7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Submit requests by 22 December 1999. Estimated
dollar value is in the range of $5 million to $10 million and
completion period is 600 days. Standard Industrial Classification Code
is 1542. Project is open to both Small and Large Businesses. A concern
is considered small if its average annual receipts are $17 million or
