Z -- REPAIRS TO HVAC SYSTEM FOR THE NWS OFFICE IN MIAMI, FLORIDA SOL 52WCNA006012SWT POC Sharon Webster-Tyson 816-426-7129, Ext. 222 The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, Central Administrative Support Center, is acquiring repairs for the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, which includes the temperature control system, at the National Weather Forecast Office/National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate only one source under authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1). The current control system is Trane. Renovation of the HVAC system will include, but is not limited to, new sequence of operation, new PC-based operator, workstation including graphics, replacement of sensors, VAV and FTU units, recalibration of sensors, and testing and balancing of the system. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available at this time. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to the Trane Company whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice. All interested parties must respond to this notice within forty-five (45) calendar days of its publication.
