The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price purchase order on a sole source basis with Insight Technology, Incorporated. This requirement is for 40 each Laser Aiming Modules, AN/PEQ-6 and an option to purchase an additional quantity of 20 each. This action is in support of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) Project Metropolis for use in Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training. The Laser Aiming Module, AN/PEQ-6, is the only system that will function properly with the MCWL's M4 rail system. The Laser Aiming Module is unique in its ability to provide a 4-mode, toggle-switch activated, focusable, visible and invisible illuminator, as well as a visible/invisible laser aimpoint. Additionally, this item is extremely lightweight, compact, and durable and may be used on the M16, M4, and M9 weapons.
