The Office of the Product Manager for Mortars is seeking North American sources with extensive experience and facilities to serve as a systems contractor to provide 60mm M766 Short Range Practice Mortar Cartridges and Kits. The requirement is anticipated to consist of a basic contract award for approxi- mately 25,822 cartridges Four options are anticipated to be included for cartridges/kits. Delivery is anticipated to be required 6 months from date of award. Experience must include but is not limited to production and environ- mental engineering, test and evaluation, product assurance, and program management with similar mortar cartridges. The contractor shall be responsible for providing or obtaining all parts required to manufacture the M766 cartridges (including packing and palletization requirements). This contract will require the machining of metal parts, coating of parts, explosive handling and loading of items. This contract includes First Article and Lot Acceptance testing requirements. Respondees should provide descriptive literature that substanti- ates the ability to meet all of the above requirements. Information submitted should include as a minimum your organization name/address/point of contact identification, capabilities, facilities, successful experience in producing the same or similar ignition cartridges and whether company is a large or small busines. This is a sources sought notice for planning purposes only and not intended for proposal purposes. Since this requirement will be fulfilled using a systems contract, the action is exempt from the Arsenal Act, 10 United States Code, Section 4532, in accordance ASAALT and ASA-FM Memorandum dated 22 Oct 99.
