16 -- MODIFICATION TO DOCK STAND SOL N68335-00-Q-0077 DUE 122299 POC Ms. Dianne Mount, 732-323-2903; Telefax 732-323-7440 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ 08733, intends to enter into negotiations with the sole source of supply, KWD Manufacturing, San Antonio TX for the modification of two inspection stands, P/N 98897-3401459-2 to modify to P:/N 98897-3401459-3(71670)15M-1 configuration. This modification will enable the dock stand to accommodate the new KC-130J propeller and engine configuration and provide for use of the dock stand on all models of the C-130. The Government intends to procure this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c ) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. As the original equipment manufacturer, KWD is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data needed to fulfill the requirement. Responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice issolely within the discretion of the Government.
