This solicitation is for the acquisition of part-numbered items manufactured by BF Goodrich Aerospace/Simmonds Precision Products, Inc. It will close on or about February 25, 2000. This solicitation is for an IDC with the following FSC's to be covered: 5905, 5935, 5950 and 5996.Solicitation will not be available until appproximately 30 days after published in the CBD. Specifications, plans and drawings are not available. The proposed acquisition contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the descretion of the Government. The total extension shall not exceed four (4) years. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestricted technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources. Items appear to be sole source to BF Goodrich Aerospace/Simmonds Precision Products. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award may be based on a combination of price, delivery and past performance as described in the solicitation.
