(701)239-3730 Provide complete and coordinated engineering services for
the Fire sprinkler Phase 1 project at the VA Medical Center, 2101 Elm
St., Fargo, ND 58102. Work shall include, but not be limited to,
evaluating the existing fire sprinkler system through the review of
plans at the VA Medical Center, on-site inspections and verification of
the existing sprinkler system head placement, sprinkler head types and
line sizes. Review of various test and deficiency reports shall also
be performed to insure all known problems are corrected. The design
firm shall then recommend changes and after obtaining VA approval,
redesign the system to provide a complete and functional system in
compliance with NFPA. The new design shall eliminate existing system
problems, such as multiple mains, unnecessary branch lines, head
placement issues, etc and provide 100% fire sprinkler coverage for this
Medical Center. It is expected that the design team shall include a
certified Fire Protection Engineer. Design firm or team evaluation
shall be based upon, but not limited to the following: Fire protection
engineering capabilities, Medical Center renovation ecperience, and
government design work experience (VAMC design experience in
particular). All interested firms must provide a current SF-254 and
SF-255 at this facility by COB 1-12-00. An award is subject to the
