The Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia intends to acquire Base Operating Services for the Naval Security Group Activity, Northwest, Chesapeake, Virginia. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to operate, maintain and repair the facilities and utilities and to perform alterations, minor construction, and specialized functions as described herein at the Naval Security Group Activity, Northwest, Chesapeake, Virginia. The contractor shall provide services for the following functions: Antennas, towers, and associated appurtenances maintenance and repair; Electrical distribution and emergency generating systems maintenance and repair; Grounds maintenance services; Pest control services; Drainage systems and surfaced areas maintenance and repair; Buildings and structures (other than family housing) maintenance, repair and alterations; Family housing maintenance and repair; Central heating plant and steam distribution system operation, maintenance and repair; HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; Water treatment plants, wells, and distribution system operation, maintenance and repair; Wastewater treatment plant and collection system operation, maintenance and repair; Selected janitorial services; Solid waste collection and disposal services. This is a combination firm fixed price/indefinite quantity type contract for a base period of one year with options to extend, total duration not to exceed sixty (60) months. It is anticipated that a pre-proposal conference will be held at the Naval Security Group Activity, Northwest, Chesapeake, Virginia in April 2000.
