The National Park Service, Southeast Utah Group, Moab UT 84532, intends to issue a Solicitation for the modification of the parking area at the Balanced Rock Trailhead, Arches National Park. Work consists of demolition of an existing parking pullout, construction of a new 13 car, 3 bus parking area, consisting of concrete curb and gutter, a concrete walk, drop inlets and piping, grading and pavement work. Additives to the base project include construction of an ADA accessible trail and addition of an SST vault toilet. Construction is not scheduled to start until 1 March 2000.
