The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and perform all work for installing a railroad crossing that has flasher/gate mechanism on existing tracks located mechanism on existing tracks located at F. E. Warren AFB, WY. The tracks will require selective demolition of the old _crossbuck_ warning mechanism and installation of flasher gates instrument bungalow, meter, crossing control connections, and coupler associated with a completely new railroad warning system. This new railroad warning system will be an _active_ one with bells, flashing lights, and mechanical cantilever arms that block the road, replacing the old _passive_ crossbuck warning system. This is a sole source acquisition, since the tracks are owned by Burlington Northern/Santa FE railroad company. Performance period for this project is 60 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Issue date for this solicitation is anticipated to be on or about 28 Dec 99 with closing date 30 days after issuance.
