The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/VSDD), Kirtland AFB, NM, is
interested in receiving proposals (technical and cost) on research to
advance and demonstrate a state-of-the-art advanced technology vehicle
system design, the technologies required to enable such a system, and
other related Ballistic Missile technologies. The research areas of
interest are 1) Advanced Technology Vehicle System design; 2) Hyper
sonic materials required for long glide re-entry bodies; 3) High speed
penetrators including the case, desensitized ordnance and layer
counting fuses; 4) Re-locatable target sensors; 5) Re-entry plasma
effects; 6) Miniaturized anti-jam GPS receiver; 7) GPS antennas,
antenna arrays and windows; 8) Post boost and terminal navigation and
control; and 9) Missile aging and surveillance testing. Proposals which
either enable future ballistic system modernization to demonstrate and
meet performance, reliability, maintainability, supportability, and
affordability goals or which enhance performance or significantly
reduce cost, schedule, or risk of existing technologies are of
interest. Offerors are advised to contact the technical point of
