If an offeror is selected for award the individual will be known as a DSI Fellow. The DSI Fellow remains an employee of their sponsoring company while participating in the program at the applicable VS location for a period of one year, and will conduct specific technology development effort. In addition to conducting research, the DSI Fellow will participate in an Enrichment Program designed to provide participants with a thorough understanding of Air Force space technology requirements, the business practices to meet them, and knowledge of other space community programs. Travel will be required to participate in the Enrichment Program. Approximately five trips during the year are anticipated. Approximately 80 percent of the fellow's time will be devoted to the research project and 20 percent to the Enrichment Program.
