R -- CONTRACTOR TO IMPLEMENT AND ADMINISTER THE WESTERN PACIFIC FISHERY DEMO PROJECTS GRANT PROGRAM The Western Pacific Fishery Management Council seeks a coordinator to implement and administer the Western Pacific Fishery Demonstration Projects Grant Program. Under the US Magnuson Stevens Act, the program makes direct grants to eligible communities for the purpose of establishing demonstration projects to foster and promote traditional indigenous fishing practices in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Desired qualifications: expertise in administering federal grant programs; ability to work independently; work accurately under time constraints; willingness to travel; familiarity with peoples of different social and economic backgrounds.
