Janitorial Statement of Work Frequency Table of Required Services The contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform janitorial services for the US Customs Service, (site 1) 501 Army St, San Francisco, CA and (site 2) 700 Maritime St, Oakland, St 94607. All work shall be in accordance with the current Department of Labor Wage Determination and this Statement of Work. Site visit is recommended. Duties include but are not limited to: FIVE Times Per Week-Empty waste baskets and trash containers, sweep or dust mop all floors, clean restrooms, maintain adequate supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, sanitary supplies and soap in restrooms at all times; Lounges/ kitchens (if applicable)- wipe all tables, chairs, cabinet tops, microwaves, refrigerators and stoves. THREE times per week -vacuum all carpeted areas and clean drinking fountains. TWICE per month -low dust all visible surfaces, damp mop floors, disinfect urinals, commodes and shower stalls, damp wipe tiled portions of restroom walls and stall partitions. Each FOUR months _ mop, strip and wax all floors, corridors and entrances. Each SIX months _wash light fixtures, fans and exhausts; dust venetian/mini/vertical blinds, curtains, air vents and molding; steam clean all carpet areas. Annually _wash mini/vertical blinds, spot clean walls, partitions and doorframes. The contractor_s personnel shall become familiar with and comply with all safety and fire regulations applicable to the area. All material and equipment must be picked up to eliminate safety hazards in the work area. Appropriate signs shall be placed in clear view when mopping and cleaning floors. No materials shall be used which will damage floors, coverings fixtures, woodwork, painted surfaces or other items. Materials which do not comply with applicable fire, safety or OSHA regulations shall not be used. Cleaning solutions containing lye shall not be used on asphalt, tile, or linoleum floors because this forms an emulsion with asphaltum and causes the colors to run or be faded. The government will hold the contractor responsible for any damage to government property due to failure with these specifications. The contractor shall ensure that upon completion of work, all tools, equipment and supplies are returned to the designated storage area. He/she will also ensure that before leaving an area all lights are turned off and doors closed, unless otherwise specified. The time spent in performance of the duties are left to the discretion of the contractor; since the time would be dependent upon the method used to accomplish the tasks. Posted 12/09/99 (D-SN407341).
