the Contractor providing all materials, labor, supervision and
equipment required to complete the project. The project requires
general excavation, pouring footings and foundation, installing
utilities, electrical, water, communications, sewage, drainage, and the
construction of a 17,310 square foot facility and associated equipment.
The project also requires the alteration of an existing arms vault and
construction of a GOV (paved) and POV (gravel) parking lots. There are
four additive bid items (ABI) for this project: ABI #1 Construct
Vehicle Maintenance Facility 5,288 Square feet and associated
equipment. Provide vehicle maintenance facility and sitework. ABI #2
Provide asphalt for POV parking lot; install storefront for the
Communications Electronic Training complex entrance; install 5 KVA
400hz Converter; install fuel storage and distribution system. ABI #3
Provide decorative VCT flooring for the Communications Electronics
Complex, to include metal storage shelving, and system furniture. ABI
#4 Clearance of Training Area, miscellaneous painting, install a chain
link fence, metal lockers, millwork of wooden counter tops and
construct a canopy and sprnkler system for the Vehicle Maintenance
Facility. Construction of the Main Communications Training Facility and
each Additive Bid Item will be in accordance with the plans and
specifications provided by the government. The construction time is 200
calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between 1 and 5 million
dollars. The project will be bid as a lump sum for the main project,
with bids for each additive bid item, firm fixed price type. The issue
date for the solicitation is on or about 3 January 2000 with a bid
opening date of on or about 3 February 2000. The solicitation is
unrestricted, all responsible parties may submit a bid. A pre-bid
meeting is scheduled for 20 January 2000 at 9:00 AM at Stewart ANGB,
Newburgh, NY POC for the pre-bid meeting is Major Larry Johnson (914)
563-2713. The standard industrialcode applicable to this project is
1542. Interested firms may request a colicitation package from the
United States Property and Fiscal Office-NY (USP+FO), ATTN: MNPF-PC,
330 Old Niskayuna Road, Latham, NY 12110-2224. All requests for IFB
packages must be accompanied by a non-refundable certified check,
cashier's check, bank draft, or money order in the amount of $100.00,
made payable to the U. S. Treasury. Firms should identify on their
request whether they will bid as a prime contractor, subcontractor, or
supplier, and the firms business size (i.e. small, women owned, or
SBA). Funding is not presently available for this acquisition. Contract
award will not be made until appropriated funding is made available for
