Naval Air Systems Command plans to issue an order modification to Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems on the existing basic ordering agreement N00019-95-G-0208 to perform NRE to fix a deficiency discovered during Navy testing. The P-3 CIP RFIU included a preamplifier (AM-7529), which burned out regularly. The NRE is to develop and integrate the AM-7529 replacement. LMAS is the original CIP equipment integrator starting in 1994 and continuing through four program phases. The solution will include incorporation of a GFE diplexer. This effort includes WRA design, drawing, publications and training manual updates and testing of the new WRA a prior to validation/verification in an aircraft.
