synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a
request for quotation (RFQ), using simplified acquisition procedures,
small business-small purchase (SB-SP) set-aside, solicitation number
DACW57-00-Q-0013. Federal Supply Code (FSC) 6695, Combination and
Miscellaneous Instruments. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)
3829, Measuring and Controlling Devices; (500 employees). The
contractor shall furnish and supply instruments, cables, transducers,
micro-ultrasonic transmitters for gastric insertion in juvenile
salmonids and engineering support services, for two (2) underwater
three dimensional (3-D) hyperbolic ultrasonic tracking systems. One (1)
MANDATORY system for use at the Bonneville Dam, and one (1) OPTIONAL
system for use at The Dalles Dam. The equipment specified in the
contract line items below must be the product of Hydroacoustic
Technologies Inc.'s (HTI) or equal. The optional line item may be
exercised at the discretion of the Government within 2 (two) weeks
after award of the mandatory line item. Both the mandatory line item
and optional line item, if exercised, are to be delivered FOB to:
