of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, One Veterans Drive (90C),
Minneapolis, MN, 55417 has a requirement for Liquichek Isoenzyme
Controls and Lyphochek Urine Metal Controls for our Toxicology and
Chemistry Laboratories. The Liquichek Isoenzyme Controls Level 1-3 and
Lyphochek TDM and Quantitative Normal and Abnormal Controls Level 1-3
must have a minimum of 30 days stability after opening vial. The
Lyphochek quantitative urine controls shall consist of 74 constituents.
Controls shall be of a HUMAN CSF based control. It is anticipated that
a Base Year with two Option Years, not to exceed a 3-year contract,
will be awarded. RFQ-618-87-00-LK has been assigned. Sole Source
negotiations will be conducted with Bio-Rad Laboratories, Hercules,
California, as it is believed that this is a sole source procurement
under Statutory Authority 41 USC 253(c)(1). However, all responsible
sources that can provide items as listed above may respond by
submitting a proposal furnishing detailed data and information
concerning their capabilities to provide these items. (See Note 22.)
Federal Acquisition Regulations under FAR 12 and FAR 13 will be
followed in this procurement. FSC Code 65 applies. The Small Business
