The USPFO for Arizona, in support of the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP), is seeking sources to provide for the modification of nineteen (19), plus two (2) optional, earth covered igloo magazines. The work on each magazine includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment to provide a new headwall, new larger motorized blast door, waterproofing, and insulation, lightning protection, power, provisions for environmental control and intrusion detection systems, grounding, new mechanical equipment room, and new apron. Additionally, this will include the extension of the existing primary electrical distribution serve to the storage magazines requiring modification. The proposed procurement will consist of option items. The proposed procurement is Unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542. The related small business size standard is $17 million. The estimated cost of procurement is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Contract Completion Date is approximately 580 calendar days. The contract will be awarded on "Best Value" using the criteria outlined in the solicitation. Technical & Management Factors and Past Performance, when combined, are significantly more important than Price. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH THE INTERNET.
