Chambley, Contracting Officer, (757) 443-1362 DESC: The purpose of this announcement is to modify the original synopsis submitted on or about 29 Oct 1999. This modification changes the procedure of obtaining a Bidder's List by this office and to indicate the issuance date of the RFP. The solicitation opens on 13 Dec 1999 and closes 30 Dec 1999. In addition, FAR 52.217-8 is hereby included in the contract clauses. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at FISC Norfolk Website: http://www.nor.fisc.navy.mil/contracts/solicitations/default.htm or at http://neco.navy.mil. This office will no longer issue hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. HOWEVER, in contrast to the previous modification dated 22 August 1999, in order for this office to obtain a Bidder's List, potential offerers must submit written requests to the above address or by facsimile machine at (757) 443-1442. Written requests must include company name, point of contact, address, phone number and email address (if available). All previous requests for inclusion to the Bidder's List are void and must be resubmitted. Requesting to be included on the Bidder's List WILL NOT entitle the offeror to a hard copy solicitation. The solicitations must still be downloaded form the aforementioned websites. The ONLY acceptable response to the solicitation is via U.S. mail systems (U.S. postal services, FED express, or other) facsimile offers are unacceptable.
