lnadybal@dccfo.com. The Office of the Chief Financial Officer of the
Government of the District of Columbia contemplates awarding agreements
to a number of firms who can supply construction related expertise to
be used in reviews design and construction documents for integrity,
sufficiency and conformity to plans and to monitor projects (progress,
financial integrity, and related devleopments. Construction Management
or Consulting firms awarded agreements will receive task orders as
projects surface. The intent of Government at this juncture is to
secure proposals for rates that would apply to future task orders and
to soldify the terms and conditions that will apply to future orders.
The solicitation, which will be available for retrieval off the D.C.
CFO's "email on demand" utility, by Tuesday evening, will call for
hourly rates for expert consultants in eight or ten broad categories of
construction related subject matter, such as electrical and mechanical
installations, design, structural engineering, construction budgets
and financing, plan development, etc. To retrieve a copy of the
solicitation send an email message with no text in the body to
rfp_at_~cfo-ojs@ccmail.dcgov.org. (No period after "org" in the actual
address.) In order for the document distribution system to know which
document you want to receive, insert the solicitation number in the
SUBJECT: line -- NOT in the body of the message. Please do not insert
comments or question in the body of the request messages -- they are
not opened or read. See line 11, Contact Points, for an alternate
address to use to contact the issuing office. The system will retrieve,
package and automatically return the solicitation document to the email
address from which it arrived. The document is in Adobe Acrobat format,
and the instructions in the text of the message to which the RFP will
be attached will contain instructions for opening, reading and printing
the file. The document will not be available by FAX or sent via mail or
