Jones, Contract Specialist, 214/905-5392, Fax No.214/767-7458 This is the second notice for Janitorial and grounds maintenance Services for the Laredo Border Patrol Sector Headquarters, Laredo, Texas. The first notice was issued June 25, 1998. This is a new performance-based solicitation being issued as commercial services under FAR Part 12. The performance-based specifications will express the Government's requirements in the form of the minimum quality standard to be met. The government intends to evaluate quotes and award a contract on the basis of initial quotes received. For this solicitation, the Government shall award a single contract to the responsible quoter, which upon award, represents the "Best Value" to the Government. There are thirteen (13) Locations with an estimated square footage for each location as follows: (1) The Air Operations Hangar, Laredo, TX has an estimated 12,000 sq.ft. (2) the Laredo South Station has 6,432 sq.ft.; (3)The Traffic Checkpoint at IH-35, Laredo, TX has 11,896 sq.ft., (4) and the Laredo Section Headquarters has 5,300 sq.ft.; (5) the Border Patrol Station in Cotulla, TX has 2,222 sq.ft.; (6 and 7) the Border Patrol Station and the Traffic Checkpoint at Hebbronville, TX has 11,000 sq.ft., (8 and 9) the Traffic Checkpoint and Border Patrol Station at Freer, TX has 8,608 sq.ft.; (10) the Border Patrol Station in San Antonio, TX has 13,200 sq.ft. (11) And the Border Patrol Station at Zapata, TX has 750 sq.ft; (12) the Traffic Checkpoint on Hwy. 359 in Bruni, TX has 720 sq.ft.; and the Laredo North Border Patrol in Laredo, TX has 33,000 sq.ft.. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to perform this service in an efficient and professional manner resulting in sanitary and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Performance is totally set aside for small business concerns, the Contracting Officer expects to award one contract for this requirement, which will include a base period and four one year option periods.
