Postal Service is soliciting proposals to repair the masonry walls and stairs and other related work at the Wellsville, NY Main Post Office at 40 East Pearl St. Work includes, but is not limited to, paving the south drive and portion of the parking lot; removing existing areaway walls, grating, stairs and railings and reconstruction around existing utilities; and all associated work. The estimated cost of the work is between $75,000.00 and $150,000.00, with completion within one hundred eighty (180)calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Sealed offers will be received in this office prior to, but no later than, 4:00 p.m. on January 13, 2000. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until award of contract is made. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available o/a December 14, 1999 at a cost of $15.00 per set (non-refundable) from the Facilities Service Office, U. S. Postal Service, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Only certified checks or money orders will be accepted, made payable to the Disbursing Officer, U. S. Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No. 082530-00-A-0033). Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and information regarding their availability may be obtained by contacting Catherine Delasco at (860) 285-7191. Contractors will be required to submit a company environmental health & safety plan with their proposal which will be used to evaluate their offers. Price will be the primary factor in evaluation, followed by the quality of the environmental health and safety plan.
