U.S Army CECOM intends to award a time and materials, requirements-type contract for post warrantee repair services on AN/ASN-169, Stand-Alone Air GPS Receivers (SAGR), Part Number, 20636-00-IN, National Stock Number (NSN) 5826-01-414-4147; and the Self-contained Radio Receiver, National Stock Number (NSN) 6605-01-383-3377. Some AN/ASN-169 receivers returned for repair may be identified with NSN 6605-01-383-3377 or 5825-01-383-3377, which were assigned by the Navy. It shall be noted that the actual nameplate information for these SAGRs, contain a typographical error identifying the NSN as 6065-01-383-3377 instead of 6605-01-383-3377. These receivers are functionally identical to Army receivers assigned NSN 5826-01-414-4147 and shall be repaired with the scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). The effort shall include repair service, maintenance kits, contractor technical support and scientific and technical reports. This is a sole source procurement per FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). Only one responsible source. Trimble Navigation, Inc., 2105 Donley Drive, Austin, TX 78758-4534, is the only source capable of meeting program requirements, utilizing the existing SAGR technology. The government does not possess the technical data for the SAGR and Trimble is the original manufacturer. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. It is requested that any such source notify the Contracting Officer of their intent to submit a proposal.
