PROJECT SCOPE 1.1. The US Air Forces in Europe has an urgent need to
procure Air Force Level certified annunciator system for priority A
(nonnuclear), B, C, and D (resource protection) resources to replace
the aging Joint Service Interior Intrusion Detection System (JSIIDS)
which has been in service over 20 years. The system must be listed in
the GSA Catalog and Y2K compliant. 1.2. Conduct site surveys, prepare
preliminary designs, provide cost estimates, design and install
surveillance and security systems upgrades to the existing Intrusion
Detection System, conduct training, participate in certification
activities, test and turn-over (turn-key) of systems, provide
documentation and follow-on engineering support as required to provide
an electronic security system at USAFE Main Operating and satellite
bases as requested by HQ USAFE Security Forces personnel. Additionally,
provide consultation and technical assistance for security related
issues as agreed upon between HQ USAFE/SF and the contractor. *NOTE* --
This is a six year project. Funding disbursement will commence in FY 00
and terminate in FY 05 1.3. DELIVERABLES/MILESTONES: a.Design, acquire,
and install a security monitoring system for USAFE Main Operating and
satellite installations b.Participate in certification testing for the
system c.Provide operator training for the system. d.Provide system
documentation, including as-built drawings e.Provide additional
follow-on Support as required 1.4. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION: General: The
Contractor shall supply all cabling necessary to interconnect the
equipment installed at remote control/monitoring stations. The
surveillance system will be installed for use with an Intrusion
Detection System (IDS); the Contractor shall interface the surveillance
system with the existing IDS. The primary alarm annunciation system
will be upgraded and sensors from the Joint Interior Intrusion
Detection System (JSIIDS) will be integrated with the new system.
Training and documentation will be provided for the new and
