This is a Commercial item Acquisition conducted under FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 15 procedures. Provide medical transcription services at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care Systems (CTVHCS), at Temple, Waco and Marlin, Texas for a base year plus two (2) option years. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, space and supervision to perform medical transcription services. The contractor's equipment will be compatible with the equipment already in use by the VA. The contractor will furnish a Pentium PC with 3.400 MHz, 64 MB RAM, 6GB EIDE hard drive and high-speed laser printer. Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 work station. The reports will be simultaneously received in the transcription unit in the PC file and also printed. The reports will be printed to a contractor furnished high-speed printer. The contractor shall be required to maintain confidentiality of all patient information. The contractor will be in compliance with JCAHO and facility record keeping requirements with estimated number of lines per workday 500 with a minimum of 70 characters per line.
