J -- LSD41/49 CLASS SHIPS IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA SOL N00024-00-R-8506 DUE 032800 POC Todd Wanack, NAVSEA 0285T (703) 602-7714 ext. 294 and Rochelle Allen,Procuring Contracting Officer, SEA 0285A, (703) 602-7714 ext. 291 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a Phased Maintenance Program Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF) contract (base year plus four option years) for advance planning, repair and modernization of the LSD 41/49 Class Phased Maintenance Availabilities (PMAs) and Docking Phased Maintenance Availabilities (DPMAs) in the San Diego, CA homeport area. This contract will include 7 PMAs and 4 DPMAs. The contract period of performance will be from October 2000 through May 2005. The contract will also contain an inter-availability line item for maintenance during the contract period of performance. Place of performance is restricted to the San Diego, CA homeport area. The contract award winner will not be offered the use of Navy drydocks. The contractor will be responsible for providing facilities (i.e. drydock, pier, utilities etc).
