Headquarters Air Mobility Command (HQ AMC) will host an air carrier industry day on 27 Jan 00 from 0900 -- 1500 at Scott AFB IL (Airlifters Hall, Bldg P-40), to discuss the follow-on procurement for the current Worldwide Express (WWX) program. The purpose of this conference will be to discuss the anticipated program objectives/scope, acquisition strategy, and other related issues. Specifically, the Government plans to discuss: 1) multiple levels of service to include next flight out, express, and deferred/economy; 2) accessorial services to include seven days per week service; 3) shipping technology; 4) packaging; 5) weight limitations; 6) country coverage; 7) on-time performance; and 8) delivery commitments. All interested parties shall be members of the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) program. The anticipated period of performance will consist of a base period (e.g., 01 Oct 2001 -- 30 Sep 2002), with two (possibly up-to four) one-year options. The projected release date of the draft solicitationis Nov 2000. Interested CRAF carriers are requested to submit a statement demonstrating their capability to perform the responsibilities listed above. Responses are limited to three pages, shall be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word 97 or Adobe pdf format, shall identify their business size and whether designated a Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business and/or Women-Owned Small Business (FAR 19.1, http://farsite.hill.af.mil/, defines the size standards of a small business), and may include a description of the company and its experience relative to the performance of this or similar services.
