This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Line Item 0001: Remove and Replace Furniture to remove and replace approximately 140 square yards of carperand pad at Maxwell AFB family housing unit. Description of service: Heavy wear carpet description: type, Broadloom, 12 wide goods only, construction, cut pile; cut and loop pile tip shear, fiber: 6.6 nylon or 6th generation nylon minimum, 100% wool or wool nylon blend, solution dyed, heat-set Olefin (heat set is designated as "S/T") or solution dyed nylon. Color: Taupe solid, weight minimum ; cut pile, 32 oz/square yard, cut an loop pile, 30 oz/square yard, tip shear: 30 oz/square yard, tip shear: 30 oz/square yard; density: minimum of 4000, Carpet Pad specification: material, solid rubber padding or 100% synthetic slab rubber with synthetic facing; backing or padding must contain a moisture barrier, with rubber pad, use stretch-in installation method only. Issuance of this Solicitation does not bind the Government to award a Contract. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation/proposal being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
