Scope of work: (1) All work shall comply with the drawings and specifications. (2) The contractor shall design and install the sprinkler system in accordance with NFPA-13 and VA criteria. (3) All sprinkler heads installed shall be quick response sprinkler (QRS) type. (4) The contractor shall submit sprinkler system shop drawings and hydraulic calculation for approval. (5) All new sprinkler piping shall be concealed ceilings. The contractor shall construct soffits as required to conceal piping. (6) All work on the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and basement floors can be completed during the normal working hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. (7) All work in the IRM trailer shall be completed after normal working hours or on weekends. (8) All work shall comply with the VA and NFPA code. Estimated cost of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000.
