Porter, Contracting Officer FAX 202-776-8775 This is an addendum to
Notice #405537 dated 12/3/99 and Notice #407227 dated 12/9/99. The INL
Bureau is urgently requesting offers for the purchase of a fast
interceptor boat to be operated in varying sea & weather conditions
within the territorial boundaries of the Bahamas. This procurement is
a small business setaside. Vendors will be requested to supply written
certification to the Contracting Officer of their small business
status. Vendors who have not already requested a copy of the complete
specifications, must do so from the Contracting Officer at fax
202-776-8775, as well as additional clarifications which for want of
space are not included here. This additional information is being
supplied to all interested vendors in order to assist them in preparing
their offers. The Contracting Officer has received additional questions
from certain vendors regarding this procurement. Answers which were
obtained from American Embassy, Bahamas, N.A.S., are supplied here: 1.
Under section "Engines" reference is made to "All hydraulic steering
with twin pumps". This should read all hydraulic steering with twin
rams. 2. Under section "Electrical system" reference is made to
"Battery charger isolator". Answer -- a battery charger to charge all
4 batteries is required. 3. Under the section "Instrumentation",
reference is made to low oil pressure. This should read low oil level
instead. Also this section goes on to say engine oil temp gauge, engine
oil pressure gauge, low oil pressure alarms, audio and visual. This
should say oil level instead of oil presssure. Will the GPS Chart
Plotter, depth sounder, compass, and marine VHF radio be GFE? Answer --
All these items must be provided for and included in the final product
by the vendor. With regard to specific bid instructions. Offers may be
faxed to the Contracting Officer at the telefax number noted above.
Some vendors would like to submit hard copies and videos and
drawings/pictures will also be accepted. If possible, it will be
helpful to submit two copies of the documents, including still pictures
and drawings. These packages may be sent by fast mail to the street
address noted above and to the attention of Ruth Porter, Contracting
Officer. Correction is hereby made in the building number. Please
change SA-44 to SA-4 and add Room #122. Duplicates of videos are not
needed. All responsible offers will be considered***** Posted 12/15/99
