This modification changes the method used to (1) obtain a copy of the solicitation, and (2) add your firm to the solicitation mailing list. The previous Commerce Business Daily announcement, published November 16, 1999, stated the solicitation will be issued on CD ROM. This is no longer the case. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the world wide web. To obtain a copy of or view the solicitation, you must first register as a potential prime offeror/subcontractor or a casual visitor. To register, go to the TRICARE website at http://www.tricare.osd.mil/acquisitions. Click on "Register for this RFP". This will link you to the registration page. Complete all blocks on the registration page and click on register. It is extremely important that you provide your e-mail address on the registration page. Failure to do so will result in (1) not being included on the solicitation mailing list and, (2) the Government will not be able to contact you and provide procurement information in a timely fashion. All correspondence/information regarding the solicitation will be accomplished electronically. Once you have registered, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration. The e-mail message will provide you with a password, list the information you submitted, inform you that you are registered, and provide instruction on how to view/download the solicitation. To view/download the solicitation, go back to the page that contains "Register for this RFP". Click on the Managed Care Support Services Region 11 hyperlink. This will take you to User Login. At this point, type in your e-mail address and password. You now have access to the solicitation. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued on or about 21 December 1999. The solicitation mailing list will be composed of potential offerors who have registered as parties who intend to participate as primes or subcontract offerors. Those interested parties who have previously submitted written requests for a copy of the solicitation will need to electronically register as a participant (to be included on the solicitation mailing list) and download a copy of the solicitation from the website. The government will not mail copies of the solicitation. It is the responsibility of each interested party who registers to maintain their registration information. If any portion of registration data should change, it is each registrant's responsibility to update their registration information. Those parties registering as a casual visitor will not receive procurement notices by e-mail, however, they will have access to the solicitation and other information posted on the web page.
