Pursuant to prior AIR-Synopsis No. 20193-99, posted to the CBDNet on 13 September 1999, the Naval Air Systems Command plans on releasing the formal request for proposal (RFP), N00019-00-R-0131, for the MK36 MOD11 Rocket Motor and Container for the Sidewinder AIM-9M Missile on or around 15 December 1999. The MK36 MOD11 Rocket Motor is approximately 71 inches long, 5 inches in diameter, and consists of a reduced smoke propellant cast into a steel tube; three hangar attachment lugs, igniter, and mechanical arming handle. The technical data package for the Rocket Motor is CLASSIFIED CONFIDENTIAL. Refer to the RFP for specific proposal submission instructions.
