The United States Marine Corps (USMC) Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) is interested in obtaining information from any commercial sources for the procurement/lease of approximately 744 Medium Capability Rough Terrain Forklifts. It is anticipated that procurement of the forklifts will take place in Fiscal Year 2001. The forklifts must contain the following capabilities: extendable (telescopic) boom technology; 6000-10000 pound lift capacity; capable of loading and unloading 8' x 8' x 20' ISO containers either on or off a trailer without the use of a ramp or loading dock; length not to exceed 250 inches; width not to exceed 102 inches; height not to exceed 102 inches with cab, diesel engine powered, automatic transmission, curb circle of not more than 38 feet; minimum lift height 240 inches, capable of loading and unloading vehicles from one side; capable of all wheel and crab steer; capable of 4-wheel drive. The Marine Corps plans to provide life cycle logistics support for the Medium Capability Rough Terrain Forklift through commercial sources via Direct Vendor Delivery to operating units. Potential sources are requested to send a letter of interest, production capabilities, detailed descriptive data, logistic support capabilities, commercial catalog or price list and business size to the Marine Corps Systems Command by 28 January 2000.
