intends to negotiate a contract with Benz Airborne Systems to upgrade
the Torque pressure sensor. This modification will provide an improved
digital torque signal, without increase in aircraft weight/balance and
will utilize items currently in the Department of Defense supply
system. NAVAIRSYSCOM plans to award the contract to Benz Airborne
Systems, 2400 Handley-Ederville Road, Fort Worth, TX 76118. Interests
in subcontracting opportunities should be directed to Benz Airborne
Systems at the above mentioned address. This procurement is being
contracted on a basis of "other than full and open competition," and
this synopsis is for informational purposes only. See Note No. 22.
