The VA Montana Healthcare System at Fort Harrison, MT located outside the city limits of Helena, MT, is procuring an infectious waste autoclave treatment and handling system. Proposed system shall include an autoclave unit capable of processing a minimum of 300 pounds of infectious waste per cycle. Unit must be capable of handling estimated 20 to 50 tons of infectious waste per year. All equipment proposed will be new and unused. The configuration of equipment shall be such that manual handling and transferring of waste is kept to a minimum. Anticipated cost of equipment, not to include installation and prep work, is $25,000 to $100,000.
