The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, at Harpers Ferry Center, is soliciting proposals to purchase and/or manufacture and distribute uniform components for the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Included is a complete range of duty and work uniforms, footwear, headwear, outerwear, emblems and accessories manufactured to specifications of the three Agencies. The work will require design and operation of an automated data system to service, track, and report on the uniform allowance system for all three Agencies. The system must record all uniform transactions, sizes, names, locations, and other data for all employees and furnish a variety of reports. The total number of uniformed personnel to be covered is approximately 24,000. Uniform shipments are nationwide and offshore. The total dollar volume anticipated ranges from $7 to $8 million dollars of appropriated funds per year and an average of $240 thousand dollars of non-appropriated funds per year. -- All work under this contract is subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.22509, Buy American Act -- Trade Agreements Act -- Balance of Payments Programs. -- The Government anticipates award of a Performance-Based Fixed-Price Requirements Contract with Economic Price Adjustment on or before June 30,2000. A phase-in period will begin on July 1, 2000 and extend through September 30, 2000. The entire program must be up and running at full capacity on the contract start date of October 1, 2000. -- The contract wil be for a period of one year with four one year options. -- The Request for Proposal RP2640A0001 will be available on the Internet on February 7,2000 at http://www.nps.gov/hfc/support/ rfp.htm.
