of the U.S. Court intends to issue a sole source contract to Unify
Corporation to license the right to use the source code for the Unify
4.x database management system software developed by Unify Corporation.
The unify 4.x source code is required by court technical staff
supporting applications running under the Unify 4.x. database
management system software which has been purchased by the judiciary.
This source code is proprietary with rights only available through
Unify. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated to be issued as a
result of this notice. Interested sources may submit data to
demonstrate their ability to satisfy this requirement. Such data shall
include, as a minimum, a complete description of how the requirement
will be met, pricing with all applicable discounts, GSA contract number
(if applicable), point of contact, past performance and experience
where an offeror has provided this product under other contracts, and
any other pertinent information. Interested sources must also show that
it is advantageous for the Government to consider its product. If no
affirmative written responses are received within 30 calendar days of
the publication date of this notice to the effect that an acceptable
alternate source is available, a contract will be placed with Unify.
This synopsis is a notice of intent to award a contract and should not
be considered as a request for offers. The government will not pay for
information received. Interested sources must request a copy of the
solicitation in writing; telephone requests will not be honored.
Requests may be faxed to 202.502.2366. All responsible sources will be
fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis
of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation
will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis
will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended
awardee and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or
otherwise request a copy ofthe solicitation. Interested sources shall
